"After years with State Farm, we decided to change companies to save thousands of dollars. Yesterday, I sent an email to cancel our policies, effective the first of the month after trying to call them and no one answering. They sent an email back that they had cancelled the policies immediately that day (three days early). Even though I wrote: "effective June 1st" and we were paid up until then. I also sent a voice message with those precise words as the phone was not answered and my call was not returned (on a week day, during business hours). I feel this was a highly passive aggressive move after being their customers and paying many thousands of dollars over the years (house and three automobiles). We had zero claims. Luckily, we are now with a company that was able to act fast to cover this aggressive act. And they answer their phone! And they are nice!"

"Make sure you ask them about their underwriting process before you purchase a new home on a quote from them. You’ll likely be paying twice what you were initially quoted if they will insure you at all. This agency turned an exciting move into an absolute nightmare. They actually wanted me to rip the green grass from my yard with a week of warning prior to dropping my coverage and leaving me uninsured. Not to mention the 2 dozen other items they wanted done that they never communicated with me. I spent multiple days off and thousands of dollars removing our nice landscaping on our home and they still found reasons not to cover us. Never once heard from Travis during this whole process. I won’t work with State Farm again after what I went through. Allstate is the only reason purchasing this home didn’t become a complete regret. Honestly, I’m shocked that what they did is legal."
